Position SummaryThe Physical Therapist Assistant is an individual with appropriate education, training and licensure who provides assistance, instruction, supervision and specific treatment to residents under the supervision of a licensed therapist as defined by the State Practice Act.
This individual must understand treatment plan and procedure modifications that are specific to early adult, middle adult and late adult residents.
The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for documentation of resident treatment, resident charges, PI data, and other information as needed.
This individual may participate in the clinical supervision of students and rehabilitation operations assistants.

Validates resident/family/significant other understanding of learning and collaborates with other caregivers to reinforce learning.
Administers resident treatment program using professionally accepted methodology demonstrating knowledge and skills appropriate to the resident's age and status.
Provides adequate supervision to ancillary staff in resident care related activities Coordinates services with other facility departments as appropriate.
